Objective:  I plan on graduating from Ferris State University in May 07' with a Surveying Engineering degree. I will work for four years under a professional and then I will eventually take my PS exam to acquire my licensure.  Starting May 07’ I will be looking for a full time job in the surveying or GIS field.

 

Experience:  Summer 2001 - I was intern for Hendricks (Construction Manager).   I worked under the construction manager performing his daily duties (work reports, setting up meetings, reviewing drawings, etc.)   Summer 2002 - I was a finish carpenter for a larger home construction company.  (Worked on building houses from start to finish (digging footings to doing the finish cabinetry).     Summer 2003 & Summer 2004 - I worked as MDOT intern in Saginaw as a surveyor.  As a surveyor tech for MDOT,  we set a lot of  control for road and bridge design projects.  Summer 2005 - I worked  with Spicer Group  of Saginaw as a field technician.  I performed many boundary and ALTA surveys with Spicer Group.  Surveys also included hydro, right-of-way, and topographic work.

Surveying Engineering Degree  September 2002 – Present

·        I’m currently at Ferris State University working on receiving my bachelor degree in Surveying Engineering.

·         I have completed about 110 credits towards my degree and have kept my GPA above 3.4 at Delta and Ferris.  I will be graduating in May 07’

·        Received Dean’s list award in last 4 terms and was awarded the Joseph Bishop and David Prior scholarships my junior year
