Objective:

Obtain a leadership position in a growing and influential surveying / engineering firm

Experience:

· I am currently employed as an intern for Thomson Surveying Ltd. Thomson Surveying, as well as other engineering and surveying companies, are part of The Burke Group. I have been with the suburban Chicago based company since May of 2003, where I have learned and performed many different tasks in the surveying field. Over the past summers, I have been introduced to both the field and office sides of the profession. I have experience in the field with construction staking, topography mapping, boundary surveys, leveling, setting control, and much more. Over the past few summers, I have found myself more beneficial to the company by working in the office with my knowledge of Microstation and CAD. I have been given great responsibility when drafting permit plats, spot foundations, and final surveys with many of our residential jobs. I also have been responsible for performing and computing utility as-builts for many of our past and current jobs.

Education:

· I am currently in my fourth year, pursing a bachelor’s degree in Surveying Engineering from the College of Technology, Ferris State University.

· My expected graduation date is May of 2008
